The RS5C62-E2 is a real-time clock. It is designed for battery-pack and includes serial interface functions, 8-bit timer, A/D converter, current integrator and I2C-BUS interface. And this device is available in three different types of packages: the DIP type, the SOP type, and the SSOP type. A built-in timer counter acts as a watchdog timer or interrupt timer.
